Elevator shafts can affect your negative air pressure if the elevator is within your ICRA containment.
If you are experiencing any fluctuations with your differential pressure sensors, it may be caused by the elevator shaft housing unwanted air.
If an elevator shaft must be captured within your ICRA containment setup, we highly recommend an anteroom surrounding the entrance and exit of the elevator to minimize fluctuations with your differential pressure.
Make sure during set-up that there are no led-lined walls nearby. This could lead to disconnection from your gateway to your sensors.
If your INCUE Differential Pressure Sensor and your Digital Manometer are producing different readings, here are some things to consider…
- Is your INCUE Differential Pressure Sensor installed next to your Digital Manometer? If there are located in different locations, this can cause a difference in readings.
- Is your INCUE Differential Pressure Sensor’s reading tube and Digital Manometer reading tube located next to each other? Keeping these tubes next to each other will provide you with a more accurate reading.
- If you must install your INCUE Differential Pressure Sensor inside the anteroom, be sure to install a pressure reading tube in the left side port. This left side port will need to be located on the occupied side of the anteroom. Not having this pressure reading tube reading the occupied area can give you a different reading.
- Is your Digital Manometer calibrated? Be sure that your Digital Manometer has been calibrated for most accurate reading.
- Are there any supply and or return vents not blocked off above the pressure reading tubes? Ensure that inside the construction zone, that return, and supply vents are isolated – be sure that if your return and supply vents are isolated, that they are sealed so there are no breaches.
- On the INCUE Differential Pressure Sensor, ensure that your sensors are installed correctly, check your pressure hoses for crimps or damage, check the pressure tube access hole, ensure that there are no gaps within your ICRA, ensure that the pressure reading hose is not under an air vent or installed at a high and ensure that batteries are installed correctly. If everything has been checked, reach out to your CSM.
